Tyson Foods, Inc. is a food company that mainly produces meat products. It is the largest meat production company in the world, and famous franchise restaurants such as McDonald's, Taco Bell, KFC, Burger King, Wendy's and even Walmart uses their product. Tyson Foods is also famous for it's slogan, 'Raised without Antibiotics'. However in June, 2008, it was discovered by the USDA(United States Department of Agriculture) that Tyson Foods has been using antibiotics called Gentamicin on their chickens. Animals raised with antibiotics have more viruses or bacterias that might harm your body. Additionally, Tyson Foods are raising their chickens in Broiler Farms. These farms hold over 20,000 chickens in a place only as big as a normal swimming pool, and is only cleaned once in 18 months. Chickens raised this way, when eaten, can give you chronic disease such as heart disease, stroke, cancer, and diabetes, and it has increased numbers of pathogen(virus, bacteria and other micro-organisms). Researchers say there are almost 9 billion chickens raised from these farms, every year. We must decrease the number of chickens raised this way to have healthy food around us. However, there are still countless more obstacles to maintaining good health in our daily lives.

The car exhaust can cause respiratory disease, heart disease, and even damage to the brain. Additionally, other factors such as smoke from cigarette or from industrial factories can pollute the air around us. Also, cutting down trees is a big problem. Trees produce oxygen while absorbing the carbon dioxide, therefore reducing air pollution. However, humans have been cutting down trees to use more land, and for paper. More than 60% of the Earth was covered in trees 50 years ago, but now leaving us with less than 30%. To prevent air pollution, we must reduce the number of trees being cut down, by recycling papers and reusing them. Also, we must prevent further air pollution by not quitting smoking, and using buses or trains to reduce the amount of car exhaust. For the environment, and for your health.
As Buddha quoted, "Without health life is not life; it is only a state of languor and suffering - an image of death" Without maintaing good health, we will not be able to function properly, both physically and mentally. To avoid this from happening, I believe that we must stay healthy, and being healthy is the most important thing in our lives.
